I am an associate attorney for a solo and the only one. We work with individual clients, not corporations. So I started to do intake and client consults and got 6 retainers in 6 weeks.
I am eligible for a bonus based on my billables, but I brought in about $10,000 for the firm just due to some sales skills I never knew I had lol. So I asked about fee splitting these sales and the boss said no, it will go to my billables and to a sizable bonus. Still, should I push for fee splitting or let it go?

Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience. Had a scratchy throat yesterday that has since gone, low grade fever all day today (99-99.9). Have felt off and spacey today, and had a headache which went away after taking Advil. Currently in the final stages of the interviewing process for a "non-partnership track attorney" position at a top-ranked big law firm. I graduated from law school in 2019, and my eventual goal would be to work as an Associate on the partnership track at a medium-sized firm.
