What’s the going rate for a commercial senior underwriting role and what companies have you found to be most enjoyable with a solid work life balance? Personally love where I’m at, but curious to see what else is out there.

Does anyone have advice on transitioning from insurance to another industry? I am Vice President of a small commercial brokerage- basically I do everything except write the checks. I want to move to a more structured corporate role in marketing or strategy somewhere like American Express or JP Morgan. Any thoughts? Anyone successfully pivoted? I can’t even get an interview outside of the insurance industry. I have 2.5 years experience in insurance, before that I was in restaurant management.

I have 17 years of experience and have an offer from EY GDS for role "Senior Managing Consultant" (Rank 32) under Technology Consulting.

Most of my experience is with Solution/Technical Architecture in the Telecom, Media and Energy & Utilities domain.

I would like to understand if EY GDS assignments are allocated taking into consideration one's domain expertise also or is it like an open field where any kind of business has to be learnt within short time as part of consulting ?

Is a 110k salary fair for UX Designer in a f-500 organization with the following responsibilities:

Wear many hats in UX, for 7 separate digital products
Flows/Logical solutions for the business
Manage entire design system for the 7 products
Do UI design for the 7 products
Provide spec work for dev teams for each product
Random graphic design requests
Lead a team of 3 designers
Do manager role to organize the work under agile design sprints with Jira boards (daily scrum, refinement, grooming)

Network design exit opps? I love working on network design and optimisation project but I am a bit reluctant to specialise there because I am not sure what kind of exit opps exist.

What does transitioning from entrepreneurship > top VC fund look like? Seems like they usually come in at the partner level, but what kind of background would they need? Would say a 7-figure exit mean much? Low 8-figure?

Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? I had my first interview round with BCG today. The interview lasted only 25 mins. Not sure what to make of it. I felt it went alright though there were some aspects of the case I couldn't answer. Any insights guys?

During HR round in Accenture, we have agreed on 8.1 LPA as fixed but after document upload I got a call from different HR and he is offering less package than before around 6.78 LPA but after some discussion I have to agree on 7.5 LPA.

Is this common in Accenture?
