It will be ok.👌
I am starting year 37 and have seen both ends of the spectrum. Be open minded. Listen to their vision. If it is “student centric,” jump on board, even if the vision and process differs from yours. First, it might be better than yours. Second, that “got your back” mentality goes both ways. Give their plans a chance to work. I’m not saying to follow blindly, but make sure to point out potential minefields and provide pathways through them. Be a team player and show your value to the team. This year I start principal #4 in four years and in each introduction meeting, the one thing they all said they remembered and liked me saying was this: “I will fight for what I think is best for my students, my program, and myself. I will offer my advice and suggestions. But when all is said and done, you’re the principal and I will follow your direction.”
You’ve got this. Good luck!👍

Well first off, congratulations on starting year 37! That is amazing! And thank you so much for the advice and very timely reminders. Definitely helps me feel better about uncertain times ahead.

First time I'm going through a supervisor change so I hope it turns out for the best. I think I've calmed down a bit more since I posted and just trying to stay positive.
It is going to all work out🙂
