I am in between two offers: equity research at bank of america or structuring at j.p. morgan— what do I do

I realize my perspective may be biased since I currently work for the firm and have also been with Bank of America in the past. However, I genuinely believe that JPMorgan Chase stands out as a more strategic bank. The differences in their stock prices speak volumes.

While I am not with Bank of America for various reasons, I want to clarify that this is not about criticizing them. As a JPMorgan employee, I focus on our strengths rather than putting others down. Having worked at both firms, I can confidently say that JPMorgan is a more sophisticated choice.

Congratulations and good luck! You have some significant decisions ahead, but I believe you're on the right track!

Wow, that's great ! For me I would choose J.P.Morgan because I like that field than bank

Those are both really great companies to work for. Which is the better offer?

Please do not make a mistake and work for Bank of America.
JP Morgan is very reputable and honest company.

They're both great opportunities. Give some thought to where you'd like to be a decade from now, and consider which job might put you on the road to that. Depending on your financial situation, whether you have college debt and so on, the salary might be a big consideration. Beyond that, just think in terms of the job being a launching pad.

I'd go for structuring. Equity research is much more automated and will be further automated via AI. Structuring is much more future proof, much less repetitive, much harder to automate, and will keep you on your toes.

OP here— can someone explain what structuring is/does there’s so many different roles within the team

I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.

Hi All,
I am feeling lost in job. So I’ve applied for Accounts payable they offered 40k. I said why not to gain some experience. I didn’t even bother negotiating which I regret.
Fast forward I noticed that I was eventually handed everyone’s workload (AR & imports & duty and check coworker work + AP) Spoke to them about pay increase based on workload. So they raised it to 55k.. but I still feel underpaid based on the amt of work I do. I don’t know what my title or what to put on resume..
