No you say? Well, we will see about that come your next midweek hangover.
Similarly, this NYT article on Disney. Been thinking about it all week.

That quote stayed with me as well.
And employs many them (at least in CA). Unintended consequences of paying people $20 per hour to make Egg McMuffins. Jobs that used to be designed for teenagers, not a sole source of income, become the jobs of the lower and middle income consumers, which then justifies the price hikes on said Egg McMuffins because people need to make a living wage, and then you go on television and complain about it like you’re not complicit in this “two-tier economy” you’ve helped create.
And you have them work 8-3 weekdays when people are out and about getting food, grocery shopping, etc?
My experience in India was illuminating. They have so many people that they essentially design jobs so that as many people as possible can have jobs. Now many don’t and poverty is extreme, but imagine if they didn’t deliberately social engineer employment for the working class. That doesn’t go over well for some here in the U.S. but clearly we need to do something differently. Crime doesn’t just happen but it follows lack of jobs and fulfilling basic needs. Recently heard Scott Galloway speak about a similar topic on the squeeze of the middle class. We need to pay attention.
CD1 Keep going with that … what is the reason adults need to take jobs once occupied by teenagers. The system is broken beyond McDonald’s. Don’t shoot the messenger.
