I don't think you necessarily need to start from the bottom, but in order to jump in, you will need to know people. Do you have any sort of mentor or connections who could help you get your foot in the door? I feel like career pivots (especially in this job market) rely on knowing the right people. So that's where I would start.
What is your approach to finding a job, and what do you think hasn't been working? I would strongly recommend a thorough cover letter that explains your career transition and your transferable skills. Also add any relevant licenses or trainings you've done to get started as an analyst.
Switching fields can feel like a mountain, but your loan and origination background gives you a solid financial foundation. You could look at roles in credit analysis, risk management, or even financial planning where your knowledge applies. Also, highlight transferable skills like data analysis and client management. Upskilling with courses in Excel, SQL, or financial modeling could boost your chances without starting at the bottom.
