Bain & Company Hi All. I am an Energy Engineer and 3 years of experience. I want to switch to a management consultancy because I think I would be a good fit for strategy consulting and want to move into ESG/Climate Financing. I would love to interview with your team if you’re looking to hire someone with this background (happy to share more via DMs).
The purpose of this post is to also ask for referrals so please let me know if I could reach out to you for that. TIA! McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group

Talk to a lender, if you don’t have great credit and a lot of money to put down try an FHA lender. They will run your credit and if you aren’t ready yet they will tell you exactly what you need to do to be ready.

Talk to a realtor. Whether you’re buying or renting, realtors can help you access listings for both and help you understand which route might make sense for you.
1) Get pre-approved and see how much house you can afford. Also, have a savings of at least 20% of purchase price for a down payment if you are doing a conventional loan if FHA then you need to qualify so definitely talk to a mortgage broker, if you need one dm me and I will refer two to you.
2) Find a realtor
3) The realtor should help you find your future home and once you like something put in an offer
4) Once offer is accepted get an inspection done
5) If all goes well sign contract
6) Lawyers, bank and title companies does their part
7)Arrive at closing with closing costs and sign and get the keys
You'll qualify for a USDA loan, 0% down. We did that where we live in PA and we actually ended up getting a check at closing due to some monies paid out of pocket.
