I commented on my leads comment on a MR which someone else raised. I thought MR was simple and didn't change the logic. bt my lead said to me no one asked for your expert opinion here and dnt jump in between the comments. He said you think other developers are nt skilled to answer?. (Btw the dev was frm offshore team and have logged out by the time comment was made and I thought my comment might help)

I have a coworker who keeps spouting comparative odds and situations in regards to the safety of the vaccine. Such as: you're twice as likely to get hit by lightening than have blod clots from JJ. It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that? Serious question… if I am interested in becoming a CTO/CDO one day, what should I do for the next 5-8 years to prepare for this? Are there specific roles in tech that prepares you for a CTO role? I am currently in sales engineering with over a decade in consulting experience.

How to promote the automation culture and documentation culture? I find it hard to give boni for automations since
a) the amount of automations isn't the amount of saved time
b) the amount of saved time is hard to be tracked for a single automation
