I currently work at a healthcare focused consulting firm in change management. The pay is great and I have been lucky that my managers have been fantastic (translating into a 9-5 work life balance). I just don’t really like the work, mostly because of the healthcare aspect of it. There isn’t another vertical in the firm that I would like more as I am not good with numbers or data really. I guess my question is should I look for another consulting firm outside of healthcare or am I siloed here?

Currently, I am working in a metal production. I have 3 years experience in this role. I am learning Data Science from percipio platform of Skillsoft. It has 4 courses from Data Analytics to Data Scientist. Is tgat enough for me.

I am a clinical research coordinator working in Austin, Texas. I have my Masters in Cell & Molecular Biology and have a year of laboratory research experience.

Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience. Understanding that the degreed person committed to school and finished, yet that doesn't diminish what the not degreed has committed to and accomplished in their careers. This has to stop!

I’m on the consulting side (FDD) and I’m curious if there are PE firms with good WLB. I’m happy with my pay, growth, and hours. PE interests me but I don’t understand why anyone would want to consistently work 65+ hours a week every week. What’s the appeal? Making double the pay? What’s the exit plan?

For those who switched from consulting to mid market PE, how do you like it?

I have got an offer from Deloitte for 14LPA as a consultant. But my current organisation is trying to retain me by giving me a raise and promoting me to SSE with 11 LPA they have also promised to give me more interesting work according to my will. For now I have said yes to my current organisation. What should I do? Was this a correct decision?
