I did my final rounds 2 weeks ago for a contract role (xWF). The 3rd party recruiter as of yesterday said there are still no updates yet.

The Google interviewer gave me his email directly but the recruiter said “to not directly contact him” as it’s against protocol. I then sent my thank you emails via recruiter per his instruction.

Given the slow pace & recruiter having no news, is directly emailing the interviewer now too risky despite the protocol warning?
