I don’t understand why central Jersey pays so low for Administrative Assistant . It pays under 23 an hour. Do they realize what we do? Then when you make a good salary over a couple of years for Nj and something happens to company that you have no control over and they let you go. Then you look for another job that is so below what you made and have to start over to prove yourself. That’s what sucks about our field.

I will also be getting an offer internally at my current work place (which is full time) . Since full time offers more job security. Stocks offered, unlimited PTO, and 70% Medical covered. Offer B. Is at a business much larger…90k salary with 10% bonus and generous stock offering. Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.
