I wonder a lot about the cost of things. Certain tech I see and the programming behind it. The job does give you a different perspective and think about things many just take for granted.
This also reminded me of a friend I had back in college who was into doing film and multimedia. Watching a movie or show with them was the worst but most thought-provoking thing! You weren’t just sitting back and enjoying the story, but I had a lot of interesting takeaways after.
I don't know which is the cause and which is the effect.
Is it because I'm a Robotics/AI guy that I'm curious about imaging systems when I go in for an MRI/etc.?
Or did I become a Robotics/AI guy because I'm naturally curious about how things work?
I think both can be true. In fact at some level both MUST be true for you to ENJOY your career in tech.

INTERESTING, what a cool perspective. Both can definitely be true and I think it applies to you!
I'm always curious about things, and that naturally makes me skeptical. I go crazy watching the news when they explain things that just don't seem possible. I will say I was very skeptical when I heard that authorities were using a "signal sniffer" to search for the kidnap victim's pacemaker in Arizona. After reading about how it might work, I'm willing to believe it's possible, though I still think the chance of success would be extremely remote.
