I feel so stuck and unappreciated. I worked for 17 years for an organization in a supervisory role leading a team of men. I left after I was passed over for better opportunities given to my male counterparts. A year after, I was contacted by this org. to please return as a civilian mgr. If I ever felt unappreciated and disrespected, this is worst. At least before I had rank. Been there 3 years totaling 20 yrs. I need a change but feel lost. Desperately need advice.

I’ve been working as an estate planning attorney in State A for the last 4 years. My husband just got his dream job (very high paying, lots of career opp for him) in State B. We’re still deciding what makes most sense for our family, but we’re leaning toward heading to State B. Anyone have any experience with this - moving states when EP can be so state specific? I’m worried how I’ll market myself/find a new job/start over.

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I wanted to know how long does Course5i take to release an offer, I cleared all rounds last friday and was going to get an offer from HR early this week (by Monday evening or Tuesday) but didn’t get any offer till now.

I loved the role and I am still excited to join the organisation so mailed a follow up to the HR yesterday but did not get any response till now. I do not want to follow up for the next 1-2 days since I feel it would be too pushy from my end.

Is it normal for a smaller firm (less than 100 attys) to expect biglaw level hours without the pay? Current first year who has been at my first job since September, making $85k. My firm’s billable requirements aren’t super high at 1900, but the partner I work for has told me that she’d like me to bill 2200.I know there’d tons of ppl in BL billing close to 3k but I feel like this is way too much for my current pay. My salary is the same as other associates who are expected to just bill 1900
