What's your commute time to work?
Hi Fishers, I have accepted Walmart offer and my BGV has started 3 weeks ago. How do I check my BGV status? I will be joining in mid May. Also, I have been hiding one of the company where I had worked for 45 days and then absconded due to personal issues. Would it create any trouble? They had created my PF account though. Any help would be highly appreciated

That’s awesome—congrats! Stories like this are exactly what I need to hear. I’ve been guilty of taking the first offer out of fear of losing the opportunity. Time to start trusting the numbers and myself.
Doing your homework (market-based comp) and exhibiting confidence (not arrogance) goes a long way. You are building goodwill in the process.
Congratulations!
Do some market research into low/avg/top pay for your position/experience/location. Go in armed with information. At every interview I ever had, I was always asked: How much do you want? I always told them that I'm open, but expect to be paid based upon my experience and what I can bring to the table. If they push for a number, and then balk at whatever you say because it's "too big an increase", ask them: If I had been unemployed, and unemployment ran out, and I had taken a minimum wage job to put food on the table, would you only offer 10% more than that? (because they'd know you'd be looking the next day)
