Take the job and then keep looking. The market is tough.
If they laid off your entire team, your manager should understand you leaving. And unless one of your co-workers could do your job, you weren't going to save them. TBH, I bet your manager is looking to leave as well.
Red flag... are you going to be next on the chop block? Are they just keeping you on so that the company can still roll on while they look for your replacement. Have something in your back pocket if. you can.
Think about this—-maybe you’re the last one there because they think you’re the one who will take on lots of extra work. And then a year from now, they’ll play you off anyway.
If the offer is good, take it & don’t feel guilty. If they need to, current company would lay you off with no hesitation.
Give them the standard 1-2 weeks and help hand off everything you can. That’s all you owe any company, if that…
Almost every layoff at every company is really just owners, c suite execs and top brass not willing to take pay cuts themselves to keep the actual workers. And these days sometimes layoffs are just to make it look like they made profit increases for shareholders.
You’re just a number to them and they are just a source of income for you. Right now, a very unreliable one…

Honestly they don’t owe the company anything. If an entire team is being laid off it’s a red flag. I think they should follow their gut and go where they’ll be at peace.
