Hey - any updated TA on CRM?
Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

I am a big believer in finding analogies when possible. Something I can compare to that they will understand, but without losing them in my technical talk. Keeps the jargon down some. I do understand that sometimes when you aren’t technical, it isn’t taken as seriously either.

Dumb it down and put things in terms the other departments are capable of understanding. They need to realize that you're a human, not a magician. If they still can't grasp the concept that you can't handle requests instantaneously, that's on them.

I think the key to this can be summed up in the common expression "read the room." Consider your audience and try to tailor what you're saying to their concerns. And while avoiding too much tech talk, work to craft a narrative they can understand and remember. A good story has a beginning, middle, and an end, and it has a point. If you can explain what's happening in those terms, you'll be getting through.

Never explain anything, just tell how long it would take you and what are your pre-requisites from other disciplines to complete at your deadline
