I got married last weekend. I reserved a room block at the Hilton and apparently we didn’t meet our minimum attrition and they charged us $1900 as liquidated damages for the unused rooms. It’s technically in our contract, but has this happened to anyone else? Were you able to get out of it? There were still rooms available those nights, so they didn’t actually lose any other bookings due to our room block.

We flew back from Ireland today on Delta. Our connecting flight from JFK at 6:10 was cancelled while we were flying over the Atlantic Ocean, and we were rebooked on a 3:40 instead (2.5 hours earlier) but not notified. Getting married in September, have a vax only policy for guests.
