I just try to remember that another person being rude has nothing to do with me. Additionally, employees often walk away, claiming they will look for the answer, but never return. Whatever rude behavior they exhibited was definitely not your problem, it sounds like you did the best you could for the customer and they just didn't know how to be polite or appreciative.

We all deal with people that think they know more than we do, and it really irks me. Or some old lady that wants to talk about how her son has "more" (of some key collectable item) than my store does.

The crazy part is he knew nothing about the product he was asking about.
I respect his or her decision
