I had a guest come up to the front desk at midnight saying she was seeing ghosts and hearing sounds. Although it was a bizarre story, we moved her immediately. But her demands just kept increasing and now she wants us to extend her stay by 3 days for free because she came here to unwind and hasn't been able to because of the 'ghosts'. And the management actually decided to just do that to avoid negative reviews. True crazy customer story and I had to share!

I just started a new job 2 months ago, benefits and PTO don’t start until 90 days in so I still have a month before I can take off any time, and today found out my company doesn’t offer paid maternity leave.
I’m really struggling handling the symptoms and maintaining my full time job. Thinking about looking for a part time job to have more time to myself through the pregnancy since I won’t be getting a paid leave anyways, but lost on where to start looking. Any recommendations?

Hello all, need some advice. Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.

Someone came in and ordered 60 bacon double cheeseburgers… my crew thought I was kidding. 😅

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.
