I need help with my interviewing skills
PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?

Hello Gang, I’m on the business side for Walmart right now. Walmart Global Tech recently offered me a role to move to the San Bruno office, but I’d be taking a demotion from L6 to E5. YOE: 8, COMP(200k base, 25% bonus, 100k RSU). Is this competitive in the bay? I have Doordash and Instacart in the pipeline, but no final offers yet.

I don’t think it’s weird. Startups also tend to have different processes than more established enterprises.
I also got difficult questions for my screener interview from the recruiter for a startup too like “What SaaS product’s UI do you admire and why” or “How do you go about a problem/walk me through your design process”
Design challenges are also typical for design roles but kinda weird for such a high level position IMO.
I 100% agree but it seems like it’s still pretty standard regardless, startup or not. Ive yet to do an interview without a Whiteboard challenge or take home challenge or both…and these are for mid level roles. I wouldn’t really expect it for director/lead roles lIke OP so that does seem weird
