I have already submitted over 20 applications this December as a new grad nurse looking for a bedside job. I had 1 offer that I declined since it wasn't my priority hospital, thinking that I will get accepted elsewhere especially at my target hospitals. Seeing other new grads get job offers from the same hospitals, though, really got me thinking what's wrong with my application. I come from a known uni, honor student with leadership positions in school, and have BLS/IVT certifications. Idk now

Just keep going! I know you'll find something. This job market is a bummer and finding a job is a little bit harder than it has been in the past. But it's definitely not impossible. I'm sorry you didn't get your first choice but I'm sure you'll find a great job.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I really do hope that I land a job that values our work, since it's also quite difficult to find a hospital that not only pays well but has a supportive management and welcoming environment to newbies 🙏

I also needed to read this as a 4 yr nurse who just quit her job of 3 yrs. I have also applied to almost 20 different jobs in the past few weeks and haven’t heard a peep which I’m not used to and that’s WITH experience but my family also reassures me it could be bc of timing and the holidays so just gotta keep our heads up.

That might be it. I live in one of the top 3 most expensive states to live in and I’ve been applying for a lot of remote jobs as well. I started in primary care at $29/hr so I can’t really go below that.

Keep pursuing , network and you might have to take a job that’s not ideal at first

Thank you for the advice! Nursing experience in any hospital is better than none at all/months of unemployment.

The first thing I'd say is don't be too hard on yourself if you haven't found something within a month. The job market has been very sluggish in the past year. Even if there are positions available it seems like everything takes forever. Plus, a lot of places simply aren't going to deal with hiring decisions around the holidays. Be patient and perhaps you'll find what you want in the new year.

Thank you so much for the kind words 🙏 I really do hope that job hunting gets easier now that we're past the holidays, in fact I have been scheduled for an interview just now! I hope I do get a job offer before January ends 🙏

Stay strong, Something will fall right into your schedule and it will be worth the wait. Sometimes we have to wait for the perfect fit.. Keep the faith

Thank you! I really do hope I get a job that would be a great fit for me since I've been hearing about new nurses resigning after only months of working due to toxic environment

First post, not sure if this is the best bowl to use but here goes. I’m wondering if anyone can share a bit about their experience working at MongoDB. I have seen they are hiring for many roles and am curious to hear about their experience. In particular, I would like to hear about software engineer roles. Currently I work on database engine C++ code and have seen some roles that indicate continuing down this stream would be possible with my skillset.

Interviewing for BIOLIFE today and looking to gain insight from anyone who works for the company.

Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. If you know that life, I’m pretty much the main parent for our kids. I don’t want to work in the hospital/floor work anymore; nor do I believe the hrs are flexible enough. I need a job that’s flexible for the kids but pays >$44/hr. Maybe remote or hybrid? Please help w/ suggestions.
