I totally get the temptation to stretch the truth, but I’d advise against it. Being honest about your gap can actually work in your favor! You can highlight what you learned or did during that time, whether it was personal projects or skill development. Employers appreciate transparency, and it sets a good tone for your future work relationship.

I agree with everyone above. Its a bad idea to try and stretch the truth because if they find out on a background check they won't want to hire you if you lie. I would just leave it and explain it if they ask. Gaps on the resume aren't as bad as they once were.
