I think the config is not as intuitive as Coupa for sure although has more functionality from a direct procurement perspective. Ariba is getting there with integration with SAP. So in summary I think the limitations with Oracle cloud procurement are not significant enough to tilt the scale towards Ariba/Coupa. Obviously if the client is using an Oracle ERP system the I-procurement module is the best fit
It depends on the use cases and what is needed from an Oracle versus needing a specialized best-of-breed system like Ariba. The core functionality is there but the ease of use and UI aren’t as smooth. The training and learning with Oracle takes longer and because Oracle operates like a monolith, the ability to iterate and make changes with a system that is external to the ERP, is better.
