Yes, clients and budgets were generally larger, and the junior staff seemed to be better for the most part. Also IME deals and transactions were always happening with my clients. The hard part about year 1 in the transition is doing client work while trying to learn all the administrative work that’s EY specific.
Yep just transitioned as this is it. I’m two months in and feel a little overwhelmed mainly bc all the EY specific admin item which are extensive
Okay thank you for your feedback. At midsize firm I worked on corporate and passthrough entities. But at e&y it will be only corporate so that is why i am so interested in the position to specialize more in corporate and provisions but i know it will be a challenge. Especially like you said the first year.
Don’t do it you will have no life
I would do it if you love what you do and are aiming for partner or significantly better exit opportunities. The work is harder more complex and more demanding. The staff are much better, but clients are bigger so you need competent people. At mid size I had terrible people and engagements still got out. Here it would be impossible.
