Absolutely stay away from Accenture; there have been no raises or promos for the past three+ years
Can you please define what you mean by “generous” as it’s used relatively and as per convenience by employers. For eg: Cognizant kept saying that they did 4 raises in 3 years but they do not mention that they did these 4 raises in (3+2=5) years. And they gave a meagre 1-1.75% (top performers got 1.75%) raises during those.
No company is “generous”.
I would go with EY. But that depends on what practice this is for
Go EY, ACC is a sweatshop
EY is no different. Not sure who would be the lesser of 2 evils
Hard pass on both.
I had this dilemma 5 years ago. Went EY and don’t regret it at all. Keep in mind all of consulting is in a tough spot right now, doesn’t matter which firm you go to, but generally I’d still much rather be at EY
Been at both. I’d go to EY but if you are okay not investing in growth stocks
Promos are very limited at Accenture, have been for 4 years now. Bonuses are decent. No stay at level raises for 3 years. Also they have moved to mostly offshore with contracts. The onshore team will be a 1 or 2 person show if it's not a government project.
I would check out EY LOL
Accenture will give you 2-4% bonuses for your first 3-4 years and maybe a 1-5% base increase for the next 3-5 years. No experience working at EY but I’d assume being private, your company structure would look more lucrative if you’re in a hot or profitable area.
Depends on a team / practice.
Bowl Leader
Between the 2, I would personally pick EY. ACN is currently a completely different animal than what it was pre-pandemic. It’s a crazy house internally there.
Despite all of the negativity everywhere, EY has actually been good for me.
Both a large firms so it really depends on the service line / practice.
Don’t cone here, you’ll be very disappointed and broke. Go to EY at least your bonuses will be worthy of the paper it’s printed on
