I have been lost in confusion and thought about whether I'm just doing a job or actually building a career for my future self. I'm working in a company as a marketing admin whose focus is solely on data entry, reporting, and maintaining records of campaign activity. My growth feels stunted tbh, and like I'm not really learning anything valuable for my future. Is this common, or a sign I need to look for a different role?

I had this type of role a few years ago- they encouraged us to pick up special prjexts and I used my project to spring board into a better career. If you’re SSP side, make a tool to analyze margin and use that to try to drive margin up (while not just using shitty inventory). Keep track of your optis and share how much h money you made the company

If it doesn’t feel like a temporary phase and the ceiling is already showing, it might be time to look around. Just be real about the market right now. It’s rough, especially this time of year, so you don’t need to sprint. Line things up while you figure out what you actually want next.

What you’re feeling is common when a role is heavy on reporting and data entry with little strategy or ownership, and over time it can absolutely stall a marketing career if you stay frozen in that scope. Treat this as a launchpad: start taking on tiny “value-add” projects (building dashboards, basic analysis, campaign recaps with insights) and, if that doesn’t turn into more responsibility within 6–12 months, start targeting roles with explicit language around analytics, campaign execution, or ownership so your day-to-day builds future-market skills

This is exactly like my first job out of college. I did not learn a single about marketing while I was there, in spite of it being a full service agency. The only benefit to the job was being able to add agency experience to my resume. I'd stick it out for a year or two so you can do the same, then move on.

You are not trapped in your current position for life. There are benefits to learning about work you don’t like early in your career. It’s also easier to move to another position while you are working. Use this experience to focus your search.

Wondering what people think about my situation. I’ve been offered a role with a company. The job description didn’t mention college degree as a requirement. On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact). It’s a 4 year degree and under this I have my High School equivalent with the years I attended there. The education wasn’t mentioned in the interviews. Continued below.

Noob question on selling puts- I just sold a weekly put that I WANT to get assigned. The stock fluctuate a few dollars a day so I’m looking for a specific price to own the shares at vs entering a limit order. The stock has already gone below my selected strike price by a 30 cents today but I haven’t been assigned the shares 🤔. Is it only by expiration day or am I missing something?

Is April (easter time) a good time to visit Norway? If yes, what are some of the places you would recommend? I’m looking for hikes/ national parks experience and don’t want to spend much time in city.

Trying to fill 2-3 days somewhere on the west coast (will be coming from Seattle before coming back to the Midwest). Was thinking San Diego maybe - what is there to do in San Diego? Would it be fun solo? Any other places I should go instead? Basically have a full week off after 4th of July, thought I would just chill at home but now realizing I probably want to spend at least some of that time going somewhere.
