Thoughts on a Omega De Ville Prestige as a first luxury watch? Would be ~$7.5K USD at retail. Some friends have said great things about Omega as a starter, whereas others say it’s not worth it over a Rolex Oyster Perpetual (which would be similar in cost).
I personally love how clean the design is, the use of gold, and the thinner band as it links the watch … find the Rolex band design to be too chunky.

Last year I was looking for switch, gave an interview, I told HR I want atleast 60% hike and in the end negotiated with 45% hike with some variable. I stayed in my company, accepting a counter of 50% hike with no variable.
This year I gave an interview in another company asked for 80% hike, negotiated to 65% hike with some variables.
Both cases are first interviews, not having other offer in hand.
HR will always try to negotiate, so have a window of 10-20%. In second case, I am making much more than in first case in same company but still ended up with higher hike.

Get an offer and ask the next company to pay better than the first offer you have in hand.
Always try to have another offer to negotiate with. Always start with a higher number than you'd like and move down from there. Provide a range if you're pushed to, but otherwise ask what they think the position deserves in terms of salary rather than telling them what you want.
Counteroffer. Tell them you got an offer from another company and if they'd like to offer the same or even higher. You can also use your yoe, skills, relevant experiences and expertise.
