I have been recently promoted to a Contract manager role from an Operations supervisor role.
I have been offered a pay of £46K with 4 clients under my profile. However, other CM with similar number of clients have an average pay of around £55-63K.
The reason I am being given is that my contracts are not as nos as others so my salary would not be matched or be near the other contract managers.
Is this right? Can I further negotiate?

I think years of experience, company size, if there are bonuses to be earned etc would all be factors, but to me that sounds very lowball. I would definitely say negotiate for higher!

I want to as well. But should I be worried that this might put me in bad light in higher management?

Hi, I am looking to be referred into some top consulting firms. I am a Project Coordinator at Nielsen with 1 YOE. I have applied thru various job portals but the application does not seem to be viewed or going forward. Would be really helpful if my fellow fishes can refer me. I will be happy to discuss further on this and share my CV. Have a good day!

Any resume writer referrals? I’m trying to make the jump into project management. I have 13YOE managing cross-departmental projects and people, and I’d like to shed the general EA work of calendars/travel/expenses. But recruiters just see my most recent role is EA and that’s all they want to talk to me about. I’m hoping a better written resume will help target algorithms to get my resume viewed for other roles.

Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?

Hi All! Looking for some advice. I am a manager a country club but I do everything. I’m in charge of outside events and member events, in charge of the front of house staff, scheduling, ordering and membership sales for the club. I feel I am very underpaid at $45k. I do get commission but it’s very low ($10k give or take for the year). I work 6/7 days a week sometimes 10+ hrs/day. I’ve been researching salaries to be able to negotiate higher pay. I want to ask for $60k-is this reasonable?

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…
