I have offers from Optum (Grade 27) and MetLife. Which one should I join based on wlb, job security, variable pay, growth, learning, employee benefits.
Optum - 33L fixed + 6.6L variable
MetLife - 34.5 fixed + 5L variable
Tech stack - Full Stack (Java + React)
Yoe - 8
Can someone provide some details on variable pay (RRP) as I have heard that it would be very less.

Dont rely on RRP it would barely be 50-60% during initial years, also policies are not so great at Optum, i would prefer Metlife anytime over Optum

I’m at Optum in very similar yoe, sg and pay. Joined last October. So let me tell you what half year RRP I got. Org funding was 75% then for mid year joiners they will always give 3 rating. As such for higher slab rrp you mentioned they gave 65%. Then it was pro rated Oct-Dec. So finally ~20% overall only.

But for your case it will be different coz you are not joining mid year. If you want more info dm me.

Normally my friends in tech are making 70-80% with average rating and excellent WLB, which I also have 😀
