I have silver status with United which gives me a free 70lb checked bag. I booked a round trip flight and the return flight is on a partner airline that says I only can check a 50lb bag. Will United cover the fee if the partner airline charges me for a heavier bag?

My fiancé and I both have the CSR card and Freedom Unlimited combo and love them. We are thinking of adding another card and we were considering the Amex Platinum (to diversity transfer partners) or likely a United card for lounge access since we live in Chicago.

American airlines is so dumb. Was trying to purchase MCE seats for a long-haul. You can’t
purchase it online after check-in. And they can’t uncheck you over the phone. Good thing I fly Delta!

I'm planning a wedding and wondering if I should apply for new credit cards to maximize on points. If so, wondering what your recommendations are and or if there are new cards out there I haven't heard of yet. For context I probably have another 20k+ in expenses to pay still and my current cards are:

Marriott Bonvoy Boundless
Citi double cash
Random card (used to be uber)

Any possibility to get points for hotel not sending bill? Nights still haven't showed up in my account and I checked out May 26th and submitted the missing nights form.
