For my pcos ladies on metformin, interesting news article. Be careful out there. The good news I hear is that metformin leaves the body pretty quickly so in 2 days you won't have it in you anymore. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/victoriaforster/2020/04/05/researchers-warn-that-covid-19-treatment-t

Let them visibly see what untreated worms do their bodies, and educate the owner on how worms are zoonotic and cause major damage to humans as well.
Give them a pamphlet on how dangerous parasites can be for the dog. Maybe they will take it more seriously after being more informed
What is their reasoning for not wanting to get their dog tested at least? I don't understand that. Treatment for parasites is not hard or expensive either so I don't understand why someone would want to risk it
First, it's important to listen to the owner's concerns and try to understand where they are coming from. I once had a pet that had an issue with parasites, and I know how important it is to take care of it as soon as possible. I would explain to the owner the risks of not getting their dog tested and treated, and emphasize that this is something that needs to be done for the health and safety of the dog.
Really good advice here. You cannot care about the pets more than the owners do. You cannot care more than the owners. You did your job. They did not do theirs. You cannot make them do their job. It's on them. Unfortunately, it's the dog that likely suffers.
