Yeah...your negotiating standpoint is somewhat diminished when talking severance...
2 weeks per year of service is only if you are being laid off. If you are being fired for cause, it's 2 weeks. Termination for chargeability could be either case.
Now, if you cheated on your expenses, sexually harased someone, or hit someone, no severance at all.
Why are you being let go?
It's 2 weeks for every year of service. There is probably some minimum that I'm not aware of.
What are you giving them in return for higher severence? I assume you're quitting and not starting.
Thought it was 3 months
