I just learned that somebody chose to get offended that I walked to their office to follow up on something because they hadn't responded to 3 emails I had sent over the course of 2 days (and I know they weren't out of office). Haha seriously? I feel like I was giving them plenty of time to respond but apparently not according to them. How many emails is enough before you call or follow up in person?

I had call with the HR for he position based out of Mumbai everything in interview and they are ready to share the offer. however, I quoted for 10 lakhs and they said for fixed pay of 8.75.
Although, i checked on Google as well average pay they are giving is 9.7 lakh
So should I accept the offer as per their negotiation or shall positively tell them why 10 lakh is justified?

Currently interviewing for an Associate Partner role with New York Life. I have 15 years experience in financial services. What should I be asking for when it comes to salary. The range they give is $60k-$160k base, not including bonuses.

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

Currently work in a very unique Wealth Management ops role.

Getting paid 85k base with 40k in bonus plus about 35k~ in OT.

Money isn’t everything but in my late 20s it feels like the only thing important right now.

WLB is next to zero as 60hr weeks are the minimum as of late. Management feels like they are trying to push a few of us out. Was told not to expect much come year end for comp. Any suggestions on finding a new role/pay expectations?

There is this big bank where I'd love to work at, and after several interviews for various positions they end up promoting someone from within, even thou I understand it and think it’s good they promote their people, it left me feeling like I'm just being used to comply with the process.

I’m looking to get into the banking world. I have 3 yoe in FinTech as an analyst and a manager. I’m interested in becoming an analyst at JP Morgan or Raymond James. I have an offer in PE VP role in Citco and JPM and I am at cross road on which is one to company to choose. Their pay is very similar but JPM is offering an attractive signing on bonus. I need a honest advise on which is better between these two firms.
