I just moved to Hamilton Ohio from Miami Florida a week ago and i had to quit my job of 8 years and im having such a hard time finding a job.

How are you liking Ohio so far? Job hunting right now really is a numbers game. A lot of people are going for the few open jobs, so try setting yourself apart by going in and talking to the manager instead of just applying online. If you are in community FB groups, see if you can post there asking if anyone knows of anything. My city has a really active FB group and we are always helping newcomers with finding work.

It’s very cold 😝 I can tell you that def. Not use to this cold but i love the historical look of everything feels like I stepped back in time with the design of these buildings and homes it’s beautiful. Im not part of any community social media pages yet since I only been here about a week. I’ll check into that for sure. Thank you for the support

Anyone with recent experience recruiting for Boston Consulting Group? Got in touch with a recruiter through referral, was directed to submit an application and already finished my pymetrics. Anyone know when I would be able to hear back and what the hiring timeline looks like? Recruiter suggested to get back in a few weeks but isn’t it too slow? McKinsey sent me an invite for 1st interview in a few days after they received my referral.

So I work as an assistant manager at a restaurant for the past 9 months. I've worked in restaurants for the past 6 years science I was 16. Now I'm 22. I went to a trade school for media and film. I got a dream opportunity to work in the field making about the same or 10% more. I told myself the only reason I'd leave this company is for this type of job. Should I take the chance at this job and leave the restaurant that is on the rise and growing?

I work as an AGM in a busy restaurant. Been working there for just over a year, and haven't had a single raise. I now only make 0.50 cents more than even the lowest paid shift lead but I am doing a lot more work. I'm no longer satisfied with these conditions.
