Well I recently told a guy I have been seeing I have HSV-2. We have not yet been physical but it’s been heading that direction. Man I hate this part - waiting to see what his response will be after he researches and talks to his doctor. I’m on daily meds which help reduce transmission risk. You’d think that since HSV-2 affects 20% of Americans and likely a higher % of gay men, there would be less taboo but it’s hardly ever talked about. Anyone else in my shoes? Or had it disclosed to them?

I got Botox (forehead) for the first time this weekend. It’s starting to kick in and I really don’t like how my forehead feels so tight when I try to use my brow muscles, it’s a weird sensation. Does this feeling go away? Or do you get used to it? It’s not painful just strange.

I currently make 78k at Lockheed but I’m not doing what I’d like to be doing and i felt stuck and after many conversations with my manager and no solution in sight, I started applying elsewhere. I am a Reliability Maintenance 3P contractor for Amazon. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering on June 2022. Currently in Interview process with EPAM Systems in Canada for Performance analyst role ( Performance testing / engineering ) and also Test Automation role. I am new to Canada and have about 6 years experience in each field. What would be salary ranges offered? Other services companies in market are offering in 105 -120 range.
Also what can i expect in project interview and manager interview? Will it be highly technical? I cracked round #1 technical interview, it was easier than expected

Why is it so difficult to make the next career move within your OWN company. I have over 7 years of experience across multiple departments and yet an external company is more willing to give an interview to select roles than your own home company for the same role internally!!

Quick question.
I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
- Work with the recruiter + apply for jobs on my own?

I am starting a 4-months internship at a company B in January. However, I just heard from a company T that they will interview me for their full time position.

Company T is paying me way more (twice) than Company B. And I like company T more. However, they want me to start working in February if I get this position. If I end up getting the offer, I will have to quit my internship at Company B, almost immediately after I begin the internship.

Is this okay?
