Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

The job market is terrible, and no one can convince me otherwise. It took me almost a year to land the job I now have. Granted, I was offered two others during that time, but the pay for the work they wanted was ridiculous. I hadn't left my previous job, so I could afford to be picky. That being said, my resume was getting me the interviews, and I kept moving on in the interview process as well - sometimes up to 7 (no joke) interviews with one company. Only to be ghosted in the end or told they went with the other finalist. Getting so far in the interview process let me know how it wasn't my resume or interview skills that were the issue.
I honestly have no idea. I've been looking for four months and I'm not hearing anythinggg back from anyone. I've got 6 years experience and what I feel like is a pretty impressive resume overall, and still.. no call backs. What's a girl gotta do in this job market????
I ran my resume through a free ATS scanner and it came back with a 33% score. Even though it looks amazing and I matched keywords to job descriptions.. i just wasnt getting any interviews. I edited my resume to be super plain, plain font, the most basic boring resume and ATS friendly. Ran the new resume through the ATS scanner and got an 85.5% score. Now I’ve been getting more interviews. Also reach out to your network and don’t be afraid to message hiring managers or recruiters via linkedin. Good luck to all of us!
Sporadic interviews but no offers. It is crazy hard out there.
I have gone on about 8 interviews in the last WEEK that have gone very well (or so I think) and still no call backs :')
The market is extra competitive right now. For example, in my state, there are about 200 open jobs for my type of role. Narrow that down to my specific city, and that number is even lower.
I've been applying & interviewing since the end of February. While I have had many interviews and even gone through final rounds multiple times, I have not received an offer yet.
It's so frustrating.
If your resume isn't getting you any hits, I would start there. Small adjustments and adding keywords/skills can get you through the application filter programs that many use now.
I know it's rough but try to hang in there. I know a lot of places are hiring but then it seems like they are not actually following through with the hiring process. Sometime I just wonder if they are keeping the "hiring process" to keep applicants coming in to deal with turnover.
