But no response received. I feel like because of my notice period my profile is not getting shortlised. What is the notice period I have to mention while applying jobs.

FL peoples: I signed a lease for a new place to start May 1 as my current landlord sold the unit I'm in. Turns out, the buyer wants to keep renting the unit and asked if I want to stay. Of course I want to stay. My new lease hasn't started so I'm pretty sure I can easily back out. For the new lease, I'm still pending full approval from a condo association as I have to do an in person interview. I have paid first months rent in advance. Is there anyway to get that money back?

I heard that the cool off period is six months. Does that apply to my situation because I didn't attend any interview.

Can I use referals to apply before 6 months? Or should I wait for 6 more months?

Thoughts on Citi's Leveraged Portfolio Group at the Analyst level? I'm curious if anyone has additional details on the group for an Analyst spot. What does the group focus on in terms of work, what are hours like, decent exit Ops, interview process etc? I'm currently an Analyst in an industry specific Corporate Banking group at a competitor of Citi so I have experience underwriting HY transactions and portfolio management.

A company was pretty aggressively recruiting me until 4 interviews in — no movement. I haven’t heard back in a week and a half about next steps. Should I assume I won’t be moving forward any longer? I emailed the recruiter a few days ago to check in, and no response. (She typically replies very quickly and I was told I’m one of the top two final candidates 😕)

I'm currently interviewing for Director of Digital Marketing and Demand Gen roles. I have all the competencies required and can demonstrate all the skills through examples from my experience.

The issue I keep getting stuck at is my lack of people management experience. I have some people management from early roles, led project teams, agencies, and currently mentor people in the company. However the feedback is always lack of people mgmt exp.

Any tips on getting how to flip the narrative?

For example, would the fact that an applicant is from Sullivan & Cromwell vs, say, White & Case matter at all, or is it much more about experience/interview? Should I complain to a firm's HR if the interviewers laughed at my answer during an interview? Maybe it sounded scripted but it was still heartfelt and genuine: my immigration story and how that made me appreciate the rule of law. I said it soo many times during OCI's that maybe it eventually sounded robotic, but for the interviewers to laugh and one to say sarcastically "nice elevator pitch", I thought was rude. Thoughts?

Just say NO, Sorry your skills are not a match, don't ignore. You were also candidates once.

Worse they say We'll check or get back to you. But never come back. Luckily I got selected into a tier-1 company and their Recruiter ignored me once 😂. I am gonna personally meet that recruiter on Day1.
