I'll admit that lately I'm kind of jaded about customers, but every now and then I'll feel what you're talking about. Someone will just be happy about what they're doing and you can sense their enthusiasm. It can be gratifying to know that you're part of that, especially when they've bought something as a present for someone.

Right. I always tell my customers please come back and tell me how you are enjoying your items. Some will some won’t. That’s a satisfying feeling
I like when I can help people get a good deal. My job allows us a certain amount of wiggle room for people to negotiate, and I always get so excited when I see a customer feel like they walked out having gotten a steal. I mean, the company still makes money anyway, so I do what I can for the customers.

Oh yea the deals are what the customers come in for. I always try to give them the best bang for their buck.
I love when I'm actually able to solve their problems. So many of the calls I get are about issues I can't make right - complaints about prices, wanting to return items that are past return dates, etc. It's such a breath of fresh air when I hear an issue and know I can actually do something to resolve it. Being told thanks for my help instead of being angrily hung up on is great too 🤣
Dad jokes 😂 Even if it's a joke I heave hard for the 5th time that day. I enjoy when people try to make that little extra effort to brighten someone else's day. It almost makes up for the less-than-friendly customers. Almost.

OMG I live for dad jokes! If I wasn’t having the best day and one customer could make me laugh my day had become much better!

I always say the best thing about retail is the customers, and the worst thing about retail is the customers. And I feel like everyone here knows EXACTLY what I mean. And a great, happy, upbeat customer can make my entire day. When the act like I just did them the biggest favour even, and they will name their kids after me, that can keep me going for days, if not weeks.

I strongly agree customers are the best and the worst part of retail! Working Retail isn’t for the week lol
I love when I am able to help someone solve a problem. So helping them find something that will make their life easier is always really fullfilling for me.

Honestly nothing 😃. I do not enjoy dealing with customers at all unless there is someone really nice and you feel nice dealing with them.

Honestly, it’s the moments when a customer’s relief or excitement is contagious—it makes the whole day feel worthwhile.
The moment they leave.
Thank you for posting something of a positive uplifting note here. Although I'm kinda new to this forum seldom do I see those in need of validation are even considering outside of the victim mentality, their participation in the scenario, esp if it occurs again and oh again and yet again.
