A combination of regulations and tech have rendered 90% of vehicles to looking painfully similar (blobby crossover in black, gray, silver, maroon, or white).

As a kid growing up in Detroit, the auto show was a HUGE deal and was extremely exciting. The fanfare, the exhibits, the tech. Now... I haven't been since 2014 and I don't feel like I'm missing a thing.
Feels like the internet's killing off everything that used to be fun. Maybe they should make auto shows more immersive, like first test drives instead of just static displays?

So for one, being able to sit in the car and feel it and seeing it with you own eyes gives a different perspective on the car, so I think these shows still provide value
But also, every new car release is just worse than the old one so I can understand if no one is excited for the new generations. Aside from the Ranger Raptor I can’t think of any new generation where I was like wow can’t wait to get the new one. Every new gen is either worse, uglier, or has some stupid trade off like you get X but they ruined Y
