New to gds. is today salary day? Or tomorrow?
Selected in a Big4 firm and one MNC shortlisting is going on, hopefully will be selected within 7-8 days. The MNC will be offering good package, but Big4 is just giving 20% hike in my salary and waiting for my decision to say yes or no,to proceed further with offer letter. Query :1. If I say yes to the Big4, and when they issue the offer letter, and then I reject, can they blacklist me. 2. Also if accept the offer and say no, in that case can they blacklist me from their firm.EY Deloitte KPMG PwC
Thanks everyone for supporting and sharing.

So I just recently passed my CPA exams and I’m now looking for new opportunities. I’m hoping to work at a big 4 firm in tax and possibly connect with anyone working there right now. Please reach out to me, I would look forward to connecting and learning more about potential opportunities. Thanks!EY PwC Deloitte KPMG

It's rough to get that close and find yourself being ghosted. It's always a competition and there's only going to be one winner, that's just the harsh reality of it. Someone else may have just edged you out. The way to stay motivated is to fixate on the next time and make sure you're the person who edges out anyone else.
Do you have any trusted colleagues you might be able to ask for some feedback? For example, I had one coworker tell me that sometimes the way I explain things can be a little bit condescending. That feedback was really helpful and I worked on being more personable and less "instructive."
I had the exact same thing happen. I dont know your age but, I believe that was issue for me.
Had you gotten to the money piece? I have found that often times it’s not your experience, education, or soft skills that is the deciding factor but more often than not the job goes to the candidate that’s willing to accept less pay. Sad but true. I’m always surprised how little many jobseekers are willing to accept. Also, another point is Women negotiate less often than men by the numbers making them often cheaper to hire.
