I had one customer try to get me fired because they didn't like the company policy and I wouldn't give them an exception just because they wanted one. They tried to get my manager and his manager involved, just to teach me a lesson. I was really grateful that my management stuck up for me and didn't let me get bullied

Lol this is spiteful but I totally get where you're coming from. It's so hard to not feel vindictive with the way customers treat us.

In my experience I’ve always had to prove a customer ‘wrong’ by proving a team associate wrong…I’m always set up for failure everywhere I go lol.

Any advice on how to get clients to pay your invoice on time / what to do when they don't? I'm currently working with an agency who agreed to net 30 terms, but has been late with every invoice so far...It's probably a lost cause on this particular job, but Im wondering if there's anything I can do in the future to avoid this situation. Does anyone charge a fee when invoices aren't paid on time? Or is this just par for the freelance life?

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.

At a different job I had a customer trying to swindle me in telling me that there was a deal in an item that never had a deal or promotion for sale so he made me scan the item 20 times before believing me. Obviously, he finally let it go but I scan it with an inventory scanner that showed me all of the sale price promotions if there were any
