Hi Fishes, I have an interview with PwC AC in the coming week. My tech stack is Power BI, SQL, SSRS,SSIS and Tableau. YEO -4 Current CTC is 9 LPA. During the initial call with the recruiter he asked for ny expected CTC and I asked for 17 LPA. Can anyone from PwC comment on this? Is this too much to ask or is this what someone at my current level would get paid at PwC. Please let me know!!!! PwC PwC India Pwc AC Deloitte Deloitte USI
Hi guys, Now VMware is offering me a 35% percent hike of what I am earning at DellEmc. I just completed one year at DellEmc. Total 2.7YOE But I don't like to go out of Dell, due to some personal commitments I am planning to switch.
Is it a good time to switch?
Can I talk with my manager ?
Are they able to hike the salary of what VMware is offering? Please suggest me.

Congratulations! Go through with it, if for nothing else just practice. Also, with an offer in hand, you can approach things with a bit more confidence and ease

Go through and yolo your McK interview. You won’t be nervous knowing you have another offer

Go through with the interview, but don’t stress about it.
I was in the exact same situation between BCG and S&. Ultimately, there is no way I’d give up my S& offer for simply a chance at BCG. And that drove my decision to ultimately drop out.

Yes. McK will have better brand and most likely better pay over the short, medium, and long term. Although IMO the move from T2 to MBB doesn't always make sense if you're well integrated and like your coworkers/projects, from an outside-in POV where you're at now I don't think you'd have the info needed to justify not taking it
One other exception is if McK gives you a lower title/level than the T2

Yes. Almost always defer 1-2 years in start date too if things work with McKinsey.. allows you to test the waters at the other place first and kick the bucket down the road a bit
Back in 2016 when I was applying, this was the case. I think they’re more than happy to retain good talent and high attrition rates mean they know they’ll have the spot to fill in 1-2 years time anyway
