I recently decided to seriously look for a consulting role after 2 years. I have over 15 years of experience in Pharma. I am now learning there is discrimination based on age when it comes to employment and salary. Is this true?

What would you pick between two companies where one offer is significantly higher comp wise than the other, but the one with a lower offer feels like it would be a better fit, and better growth trajectory? Both offers are still significantly higher than current salary.

I have done masters in commerce and i have experience of 3.5 yrs working on support project related to Bloomberg fundamentals consultation with bare minimum package of 2.6 lpa as a ctc. Is doing some courses from after market such as power bi ,sql etc will help me to raise my package or should i switch by upscaling my skill or without it as environment is toxic and they will not let me grow.kindly share your insight to help me choose better career path.

In my offer letter it stated a signing bonus to be paid on the first available payroll after my start date. Its been a month since my first paycheck and HR and the Payroll team are incredibly unresponsive to my inquiry on where this bonus is. What’s the next course of action? Legal? I’m a certified Health Coach (my training/courses are CCE-accredited by the International Coach Federation) w/ a BS in Psychology. I got a temp to hire starting at $18/hr. It is my first professional health coach job & they did not require temps to have a coaching certification, but I have one. I’d like to know if temps could negotiate salary when given the job offer. So I joined IBM in May 2022 and was on bench for 5.5 months since then.I will be allocated to a project next week. Also my probation got confirmed a week back.

1)With me joining a project so late, can I expect a Variable Pay in March 2023?
2)The manager told me I have flexibility to choose 2-11 shift or work in morning as everyone is flexible here. What must I do officially to get that monthly shift allowance?

As of late, my work related anxiety has reached new levels and it’s really starting to affect me mentally. I’m part of a great team; I’m trusted and supported, have a great track record, there are no issues, and have been no incidents. Regardless, my professional self perception and confidence is so rattled as of late, it’s almost like a paralysis at times. HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time?
