I recently graduated with a post-graduate degree in Supply Chain and Logistics here in Canada. I started applying for jobs but was facing constant rejections.

I added 2 years of overseas supply chain experience (from India) to my resume to improve job chances in Canada. It’s not real, but I’m now getting interviews. I’m worried about background checks—do employers verify international experience or contact overseas references? Has anyone been in a similar situation? How risky is this?

I have a question, I got a contract role through a recruiter. Initially the recruiter offered the hourly pay rate which was the minimum in my range. Now I got an offer from the company. Now without me asking her she increased the hourly wage to the maximum range I asked. Which makes me doubt if the company increased it or she knew the rate all along but gave me the lower rate ?

Today I messed up doing a delivery. The client was expecting the supplies at 3pm in the warehouse, however, there was an accident on the highway and traffic was insane. It slipped my mind to let them know about the delay. Now, they believe it was me being irresponsible and are threatening to fire me for not reporting on time and possible losing them a client. What can I do to fix the situation?
