Many young people don't consider supply chain management as a career option. In your opinion, why is the interest minimal, and what could make it more appealing?

Firstly, many people view it as purely technical and not very creative. Secondly, it can be seen as quite mundane and not very exciting. Finally, it is often not well understood, which makes it less appealing to potential candidates.

It may be due to lack of information or also because there is little interest in contact with other people. Although I think that with more information it would be a more attractive career.

It isn’t a lucrative field to the younger generation. For SCM to be a lifeline to the country, wages do not reflect the expectations. They are demanding jobs with high productivity standards. Yet profitability continues to hit “record margins” each year.

I believe that the interest in supply chain management as a career is minimal because it is not seen as an exciting or glamorous profession. However, I think that this could change if people were more aware of the many opportunities that are available within this field.

There are many different specializations within supply chain management, such as logistics, purchasing, and inventory management, and each of these roles can be very rewarding. If people knew about this, they would kill to join this industry.

The salaries for supply chain professionals are often very competitive, and there are many opportunities for advancement. I believe that with a little bit of education and exposure, more people would see supply chain management as an appealing career option.

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone here has had a great week! I am new to the healthcare field and fishbowl. I recently started a position for a large hospital in my area that is struggling to recruit Music/Art Therapists.

I am hoping to educate myself and gain information and valuable resources to better aid me in my career. Are there any Music/Art Therapists in this fishbowl or anyone that can give me insight as to the requirements for this specialization?

Hi all,
I’m currently working for a small technical consulting start-up firm. I make good money, have great benefits, and they seem very happy with the work I’m doing, so I know I could move up quickly. However, tech consulting is definitely not my dream job. I want to get into data analytics, and I have an offer from a big company to do just that. I’ve only been at my current company for about 8 months, but I don’t ever see myself loving this job. How do I know when it’s time to make a change?

Besides SALT, any other specialized areas I should try to get some experience in? Also open to any tips and tricks to help tailor my workflow and experiences for the months to come.
