I recently interviewed for my dream job at a dream company. The interview went well, the HR colleague followed up to let me know that from the interviewer (department head for the role). But then HR contacted me a couple weeks after to say they are have a hiring freeze. Is it weird if I contact the interviewer or add them on LinkedIn to keep in touch and so they know I’m still interested? I’ve not really done this before so any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

I interviewed with a company last week and the interviewer said he would submit my notes to the hiring manager and I would hear back this Monday from HR on next steps/if they want to move forward. I didn’t hear back yesterday so I emailed HR and she said she wasn’t part of the hiring decision so would reach out to the initial interviewer for his feedback. I haven’t heard from her and it’s been 24 hours - starting to get worried. What should I do? Does this mean they’re not interested?
