I recently joined CGI with well-known client. They have assigned me a proper automation role, and the team structure is well-organized with separate QA and automation teams. However, after one month, I received an offer from MasterCard with an 8% hike compared to CGI. MasterCard is a product-based company and is willing to wait for my 2-month notice period.I’m confused about whether I should stay with CGI, where I’m working on a good automation project, or move to MasterCard for the hike.

I got a decent deal on a small 1 bed in a luxury building (hell’s kitc). Should I do a 12 month lease or 24m?

Got the rent negotiated to under 3k + free amenities for a year (gym, pool, etc.). I’m afraid rent will atleast go back to the original price (+5%) and then some. The building has some sort of rent control but that’s predicted to go away in less than 1 year as per the lease. The legal rent limit is way higher.

3 Things to keep in mind which changing jobs:
1. Always ask dedicated budget for the job before you tell your expectations.

2. Always have atleast 2 weeks of gap before you join any company. You might not understand significance of that but just have a gap.
