Next sent email on a question & said would get back to me ASAP. 10 days later, no response. Red flag 2. I sent another email & also asked about my first day as I have no agenda and need them to set up laptop. No response. My 1st day is Monday. Red flag 3? I know they are busy but should I be worried?

Need resume advice. I got tech lead at just 4yoe by filling a vacuum for ML ops on a team of ad hoc DS's. Is it me or does it seem like companies are hiring but not really hiring? For example, you wasted all of that time going through the interview process, completed it, and then they’re putting the position on hold or you had a great interview, they tell you had a great interview, the interviews like you, you had a great answers but they didn’t select you due to “business needs/growth/direction of the company.”

Does a lateral move between firms make sense just to get better practice alignment? Or is it better to wait and push for a transfer within your own firm - even if it takes more than a year?

Here’s an idea for all firms posturing about diversity: may pay numbers transparent with demographic data included. So white male Managers at PwC make $xx, white women make $yy, black women make $zz. Pay bands don’t solve the problem since inequality in promotions and development opportunities persist.
