I recently joined Ford. I'm feeling like the work is not suited to me or I'm not liking it. There is a difference between what I was doing before joining Ford and what I will be doing here. There is still a confusion going on.

Is it ok to resign during my probation period?
If yes, how long do I have to serve notice period?

I'm also on the same boat. I came in to Ford with high hopes of delivering high quality products, but these few months are sufficient for me to understand that Ford is having structural inefficiency, starting from leadership and drilling down to individuals. Quality of engineers, Managers, leaders are at subpar than the market. Many people have been working here on same project/product for >10 years just like #govt_employees. Unless Ford gets major overhaul, things will remain same here.
Better to lookout for another opportunity before resigning. Prioritize your career before the org.

Quick update: Got an offer for fully remote role in 3 weeks, and resigned today from Ford.
Choosing growth over stability.

Dont jump to conclusion right away. First talk to ur manager and express ur concern and your expectation reg the role. Job market out there is very pathetic. Supply of people is exponentially greater than the demand. AI is ruthlessly replacing us. Amazon fired 16000 employee yesterday. So just from one company 16000 people are into the job market now searching for jobs. With global economy being very fluid, think twice and consult with someone before you take a decision in this matter.

idk if this is the right place to post but...
Ok so I was carless -- I was assembling my new bed frame and one as I was grabbing one of the long parts; I set it vertically and my fan was on and hit the edge. I literally just moved in 5 days ago and I already scratched these pristine fans, I'm irate and I want to fix it.
Is there any kind of paint. or is there a way to polish it so it doesn't look as bad :(
