Ehhh…I’m WFH and I’m at 600-800 per month and that’s with 2 kids and a wife.
Seems like a lot, but we don’t eat out and only buy meat if it’s manager special/on sale.
Wife and kids are vegetarians (tofu/tempeh are cheap proteins).
What I meant is think like I can’t send more than 600 on food. Honestly u get a watermelon for 4-5$ and u can get a Mac chicken for like 4, so in the US my observation is that healthy food is expensive. If I buy fruits, veggies, yogurt, chicken or fish and some munchies I easily spend 80 bucks a week. 80*4 = 320 per month. Then keep 100$ for the weekends that’s 400 more, making all 720. But sometimes you do exceed that depending upon how much u spend on outside food.
Recommendation. Try to use a premade meal deliver service. I do Eat Clean Bro (I know...the name is douchey) for dinner and it saves me a lot. Plus based on the meals you chose, it can be very healthy
Yeah precisely, was interested in something like this specifically to replace Uber Eats / DD since ordering on them is so unnecessarily expensive - will look into and lyk !! thanks

Never even thought about tracking it. I’m gonna eat what I want

That’s a ton. To start, stop with the delivery services unless they are paid for by work — complete waste of money.

Try something like Factor75 or Fresh Meal Plan then. It’s healthier than take out, tastes good, and is pre made so just heat it up. I’ve used both and while more expensive than cooking yourself, it’s cheaper than delivery. And the portion sizes are adequate for eating healthy (I’m a 31 YO built dude and I’m not complaining about the portions. It’s not bulking season stuff but it will align with macros and taste good).

Very reasonable, that's like $33/day, including every time you eat out
What would you say is the threshold
for no longer being reasonable?

Very reasonable. Easily between $1,200-1,500 per month. Live a little. It’s good
It’s as reasonable as you define it to be! Are you hitting all your financial goals? Do you live in a HCOL area? Is your time saved worth the extra convenience costs?
My fiance and I are saving for a wedding, paying off student loans, etc so we are living below our means and spend around $700 per month on groceries/ household consumer goods and around $600 on eating out (including coffee, bars, etc) per month. We live in a HCOL area, go to multiple grocery stores to get the best prices, meal plan, and don’t do delivery unless it’s on company dime. However, there’s always a trade off of your time to these savings so find what works for you!

More than normal I think lol. I think I go up til 1.2
Honestly I’m sure mine is probably around 1.2 maybe even more LOL I was just ballparking it
Ya same. Living in NYC this is super standard.
This is actually super reasonable. I’m usually closer to 1500
Very reasonable. My groceries are ~400 and rest, aka paying for like a date or two a week, make up the difference to ~$1,000.
Is it normal? Probably. Would I cut back if I were you? Absolutely.
Why don’t you learn how to cook ? If you spend $50-$75 on groceries per week, you’d save so much money
